Modular Stadium Development

Eastbourne Borough FC is unique in many ways. Not only is it the only fully covered ground in Sussex, but it is a totally self-financing commercial operation, chaired by Len Smith, financial director of a major printing company.

Eastbourne borough FC won the Eastbourne Business Awards 2004 Corporate Social Responsibility Award and is the football Association Commercial Club of 2004 and 2005. The FA use Eastbourne Borough FC as an example of a self-financing commercial operation.

The club is located on the Eastern edge of town for over 20 years and owns it's site. local businesses work closely with the clubs sponsors and players so supporters are accommodated in comfort.

IN 1997 PJ Steel Construction Ltd were approached to develop a seated stadium for the club that could be upgraded and extended as funds allowed.

The Stadium Solutions modular system proved to be the ideal solution. Initially, in 1998 a stadium of 4 bays was constructed.It was then extended by a further 5 bays including a disabled seating and spectator area.

The club worked closely with Stadium Solutions and shared the construction work-load, providing ground work and brick- work.The service provided by Stadium Solutions is flexible, allowing the client club to provide as much or as little support as funds allow.

The club are now looking to extend the stadium further and are in consultation with Stadium Solutions.
