In May 2019 Aston Villa FC announced plans to extend their training facilities at Bodymoor Heath to "meet the ever growing needs" of their squad and academy, a portion of Bodymoor Heath being lost to the high speed HS2 rail line development. Through O'Brien Contractors, who as main contractor has helped the club relocate and improve facilities, we secured the contract to build an all-seated grandstand as part of a new stadium complex.

With our expert stand design experience, we have supplied a bespoke solution to meet the club's exacting needs. The finished stand includes a total of 532 seats, two integrated disabled access areas at each end with space for wheelchairs and seats, directors seats and dugout areas. Being a Stadium Solutions stand, the club has the option to easily extend or relocate the stand in the future. 

The upgraded complex was opened on 29th November 2019 and the new stand was put to use that night by fans watching Aston Villa take on Portsmouth in the Premier League Cup. 

With the announcement that the under 23's will now play the majority of their games at the training ground we take great pleasure in showcasing the new stand, knowing that it will be extensively used by keen spectators watching these younger players grow, work hard and help Aston Villa in their push to become a premier league club.
